News: American's likely to see drilling closer to home


Battlement Mesa highlightes a growing, nationwide trend


The latest energy boom has brought a dramatic increase in gas wells and drilling rigs to the retirement community of Battlement Mesa along Interstate 70 near Parachute. At the end of May, Denver based Antero Resources announced plans to begin drilling in town. The announcement blindsided residents, many who say they had no idea this sort of thing could happen.
