Become a DJ
DJ's are the heart and soul of KDNK, and all are local volunteers. KDNK offers an eclectic mix of rock, folk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, reggae, funk, soul, world, hip-hop, and more! All our volunteer DJ’s host a two hour program, and are encouraged to explore new music from independent and emerging artists, as well as delve into the KDNK library of old favorites.
The first step is to sign up for one of our monthly DJ trainings. This is where we show you around the station, provide a fist look at the on air studio and get you going on the road to becoming another well-trained KDNK announcer. KDNK is a place for locals to have a voice, to learn and grow and to serve the community. DJ trainings are usually held the third Thursday of the month. Contact email@example.com for more information.

Assist at KDNK Events
KDNK hosts many fundraising events throughout the year. Whether it’s the Labor of Love Auction, Mr. Carbondale, Women’s Arm Wrestling, or other festivities, we are always in need of volunteer assistance. Click on the links below to see the available volunteer shifts. Contact Erin, Development Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 963-0139 to sign up.
Volunteer help is a must during our busy on-air membership drives. KDNK holds two drives every year, one in March and one in September. We need people to volunteer to answer phone calls and help with the mailings a few weeks prior to the drives. To volunteer, call 970-963-0139 or email Erin, Development Director, at email@example.com.
Membership Drive Phone Operators:
KDNK conducts two membership drives annually, which occur in March and September. During these drives, volunteers are needed for a variety of shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
KDNK does approximately four large mailings annually and volunteers are needed to assist with sorting, stuffing and sealing envelopes to prepare them for mailing. Volunteers may offer as many hours as they are available. We generally send out mailings at the end of January, July, August and October.
Music Department Opportunities
The Music Department needs help with the following:
-Organizing the library, and re-alphabetizing the ever-expanding flow of music into the library.

Contact Luke Nestler, Music and Program Director, luke at kdnk.org or call 963-0139 for full details on these opportunities.
Community Advisory Board
The purpose of the CAB is to review the programming goals established by the station, the services to the communities provided by the station, and the significant policy decisions rendered by the station. The CAB may also be delegated additional responsibilities as determined by the Board of Directors of KDNK.
This board meets at least once per year. To attend or serve on the board contact KDNK at 970 963-0139 or e-mail board at kdnk.org.
Other Board Committees
The KDNK has established a Program Committee which is charged with surveying our membership to access how well we are executing our mission. The Board also requires occasional assistance with ad hoc committees and other duties. Contact board at kdnk.org for more information on serving on a committee.
