Crime Victims Awareness on Valley Voices

Crime Victims Awareness on Valley Voices April 26, 2013

KDNK took part in Crime Victim Awareness Week this week in Garfield County by sponsoring events organized by Two Rivers Coalition for Victim Advocacy. Valley Voices host Amy Hadden Marsh aired a special, hour-long show on 4/25, with guests Lee Martin and Meghan Hurley of Riverbridge Regional Center in Glenwood Springs and Emma Bielski of Advocate Safehouse. The show also featured interviews with survivors of violent crimes. All names have been changed to protect identities.

Click on the headline above for an additional interview featuring "Bob," who spent 30 years as a police officer and was severely injured 12 years ago after being assaulted on the job. The assault cost him his career.

The entire show can be found here.
