Peter Rogoff, the administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, says RFTA's bus rapid transit program is an important model for regions all around the nation with similar public transportation needs. He came to Carbondale to help celebrate RFTA's groundbreaking ceremony in Carbondale, and spoke with KDNK's Eric Skalac about the role of the FTA, and about the importance of rapid transit for rural areas.
