An evening with David Barsamian

David Barsamian is the award-winning director of Alternative Radio (alternativeradio.org) and author of many books. His latest is "Occupy the Economy: Challenging Capitalism" with Richard Wolff. One of America's most tireless and wide-ranging journalists, he has altered the independent media landscape, both with his weekly radio program and with his books with Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Tariq Ali, Arundhati Roy, and others. His articles and interviews appear in "The Progessive," "The Sun," "Z" and other magazines and journals. A much in demand public speaker, he lectures all over the world. Alternative Radio airs on KDNK Sundays at 4PM.

A competition for the best looking manmeat of bonedale. Carhart, eveningwear, river wear and one-minute of talent display will be the cornerstones of the pageant.
Phat Thai will serve a Prix Fixe meal. Reserve through KDNK and save your seat for the show. Call 963-0139. Admission is $15 night of the competition, $10 with advanced registration.

It costs $100 more than the regular business membership but you get a lot of marketing on KDNK and your donation is doubled by KDNK listeners.
How it works:
An on-air challenge will be issued to the community on behalf of your business. Listeners will be informed that their donation to the station will be matched by your business up to $250. Each business is highlighted until the challenge is met by listeners.
Cost: $250 – Value: $350+
Your business will receive:
A 1-Year Business Membership at KDNK ($150 value)
Ten underwriting messages after the drive for your business ($250 value)
Six on air thank you mentions
Recognition on PR for KDNK Blues and BBQ
Sponsor recognition and mentions at BBQ
Drink and food tickets for Blues & BBQ ($50 value)
