Rick Roles: A Gas Lease Gone Wrong Garfield County resident Rick Roles has been a thorn in the side of gas companies and regulators alike, ever since gas development began on his property almost two decades ago. As KDNK's Ed Williams reports, Roles says industry activity near his home has compromised his health and his livelihood.

Contaminated Soil at Spill Site


Roles says an operator spilled fracking fluid here in 2005, and to this day nothing will grow at the spill site even after attempts to reseed the soil. He has not gotten the results of soil samples taken by the COGCC several years ago.
