Carbondale trustees recommend new representative to county Energy Advisory BoardJuly 10, 2013
For the last several months, Carbondale has been looking for representation on Garfield County's Energy Advisory Board, or EAB. The board holds a monthly forum in Rifle, gathering members of the oil and gas industry, representatives of local government and citizens impacted by oil and gas development in Garfield County.
And Tuesday night, the Carbondale board of trustees chose AJ Hobbs, an energy conscious local to take up that charge. As KDNK's Eric Skalac found out, Hobbs applied for the position in part because of his interest in the proposed drilling in the Thompson Divide.
