Ecstatic Dance is an all ages, freeform and substance free dance every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. This is a special invitation to go inward together and allow inner wisdom to be our dance guide along side a 90 minute set as a soundtrack for exploration and spaceholding by the Ecstatic Paonia crew. We have a different live DJ every session and sometimes even a VJ (visuals).

This is a Moving Meditation Class and Dance Practice for ALL ages, that allows your Inner GuiDANCE to cultivate from WITHIN. Ecstatic Dance is about listening to your own inner voice to guide your own personal healing. We gather at the beginning in circle to set intention for our moving prayer, then we begin the dance guided by a world/ tribal music set while respectfully moving through the space with no more talking till the end, where we gather once again to share what was discovered on our movement journey.

How you move is completely up to you. This may look like yoga, rest, stretching, singing, meditation, play, modern, jumping, martial arts, flow, animalistic, peace, freedom, lyrical dance, hip hop, sorrow, improv, joy, etc.

There are no rules except to come sober and be respectful of others and no talking or running while on the dance floor. We invite you to join in the Circle before and after the dance as we all have an opportunity to share our wisdom. This is a key part of dancing in community and what sets this class apart from other dance parties = True Connection!

Feel free to come dressed in comfortable stretchy layers or costumes, face paint is encouraged and we have some costumes to share! Also feel free to bring any items for the community Altar, pictures, stones, art and fruit to share at the end.

Children and Elders are very welcome in this space, also bring your drums and percussion instruments to play along if desired.

Your $15-25 contribution goes towards the space and supplies for the dance and is greatly appreciated. Children 15 and under are free! Volunteers always appreciated for set up and clean up afterwards, and always seeking visiting DJ’s to play a set! Please contact for this opportunity to co-create.
