KDNK's Official Election Coverage Guide

This page will be updated as-needed throughout the process to add or remove any content that changes.

This next programming is part of KDNK's approach to election coverage. KDNK hopes to provide informational, humanizing, and equal air time for candidates regardless of political affiliation. Each candidate is given the same first nine questions, with an additional three topics if time allows.

Topics for this series were provided by KDNK listeners through our election survey and Above the Noise Events held in July.

Each guest is allotted a maximum of 27 minutes, although some may use less if their answers are exceptionally speedy or concise.

These interviews are minimally edited, to encourage media transparency. Transcripts of each conversation are available on KDNK.org, plus the release schedule of these interviews is available on our website and social media platforms.

The schedule for when 30 minute candidate interviews will air and be available on our website on the following dates:

Marc Catlin - September 10, 4:00PM
Cole Buerger - September 11, 4:30PM

Elizabeth Velasco - September 17, 4:00PM
Caleb Waller - September 19, 4:30PM

Mike Samson - September 24, 4:30PM
Steven Arauza - September 26, 4:30PM

Jeff Hurd - September 30, 4:30PM
Adam Frisch - October 3, 4:30PM

Caitlin Carey - October 8, 4:00PM
Perry Will - (KDNK has scheduled interviews with Will, but he has been unable to attend thus far.)

Additionally, if KDNK staff deem to use shorter cuts from the interviews, they may air sooner on newscasts or be featured on social media.
