Dr. Tanice Kitchener

Public Affairs Host

Born and raised in Colorado, I have a passion for travel and being outdoors. Biking, skiing, snowboarding, waterskiing, sledding, hiking...anything outdoors brings me peace. I am so grateful to be in a career which allows me to help others maximize their physical abilities so that they may also enjoy the calling of nature or whatever their own passions may be. As a child, I grew up spending summer weekends on the Frying Pan River at my Great Grandparents' cabin and am thrilled to be back in the Roaring Fork Valley.
I received a Bachelors in Science from Colorado State University - Pueblo in 2005 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Colorado in 2008.
My Husband, Scott, and I left our steady jobs in 2015 to do contract work so that we could travel more regularly. Scott found a contract that brought us to Carbondale in 2016. Like so many others here, it quickly became clear that we were not going to be ready to leave after the 3 month assignment. Working in the area, we have become more familiar with the Roaring Fork Community.
Being in such a special part of the world, surrounded by neighbors who are invested in maximizing their own health has inspired us to hang up our travel hats and root down allowing me to start my own PT Practice. I have developed my practice as a self pay service in order to deliver the highest quality Physical Therapy to our neighbors. Therapy which is not determined by what an insurance company will authorize, but rather by what my clients and myself determine are best for them in order to meet their personalized goals. Working in my own practice ensures that I have adequate time during one on one treatments with each client rather than working within productivity constraints of a more corporate model.
