Performing Artist Alya Howe on the Quest for Inner Peace

Alya Howe

This month on The Inner Game, Gwen catches up with local performing artist Alya Howe who is a local dancer and storyteller, among other things. They talk about her spiritual background, ways she seeks peace, and the power of storytelling.

The Inner Game is about how we nurture and attend to our mind/body/spirit health, and how that allows us to play a bigger game and make a bigger contribution in the area of purpose that calls to us. The show features conversations with people who are making an evolutionary difference with their lives - from a place of balance, love and service. The Inner Game air every first Thursday at 4:30 on KDNK, for past episodes click here.

My life’s commitment is to nurture and expand the innate capacity in myself and others to embody a world of beauty, unity, health and justice. As a staff member of the international citizen action group RESULTS, I coached and trained volunteer political advocates worldwide for more than a decade in the movement to end poverty. I learned about being a game-changer by working alongside visionary leaders like Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus; Lynne Twist of The Hunger Project and founder of The Pachamama Alliance; and Marshall Saunders, founder of Citizens' Climate Lobby.
