KDNK's Amy Hadden Marsh attended the 13th annual Sacred Peace Walk at Creech Air Force Base northwest of Las Vegas The event, organized by Nevada Desert Experience, also included a protest at the nearby Nevada National Security Site. She produced an audio postcard of the event.
The Nevada National Security Site, formerly the Nevada Nuclear Test Site and the Nevada Proving Grounds, was used for the testing of nuclear devices from 1951 and 1992. The Nevada Desert Experience was formed in 1982 to oppose the tests.
