GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The Garfield County Board of County Commissioners voted Friday to fund Grand River Meals on Wheels (GRMoW) in the amount of $40,000 to sustain home delivery meal services to homebound clients in Western Garfield County. The vote came as the need for social distancing measures around COVID-19 has driven participation in the program up 20% since early March.
On this month's episode of Senior Matters, host Diane Johnson talks about neuroplasticity, also known as brain plasticity. It's the ability of the brain to change throughout an individual's life. Johnson is joined by representatives from NFI, or the Neuroplastic Functional Institute. Senior Matters is heard once a month of KDNK and is hosted by Diane Johnson. The program spotlights seniors in the community, representatives of senior services and programs and activities of interest to seniors. Hear past episodes here.
