Colorado Parks and Wildlife commissioners on Wednesday unanimously approved the state’s final gray wolf restoration and management plan. As KDNK’s Morgan Neely reports, it’s the culmination of a years-long process … but not everyone is happy.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife recently identified several cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza, in free ranging wildlife, including a black bear in Huerfano County, and a mountain lion in Gunnison County.

Nearly two years after Colorado voters narrowly passed Proposition 114 tasking Colorado Parks and Wildlife with reintroducing wolves on the Western Slope, the agency has a plan.
