Aspen Daily News reporter Megan Tackett joins KDNK's Gavin Dahl on Booked to discuss her cover story on the proposed quarry expansion near Glenwood Springs, which features accusations of disingenousness by both sides. Reporter M. John Fayhee joins KDNK's Gavin Dahl to explain what's next for federal land near El Jebel that is managed by the US Forest Service. It sounds like the White River National Forest will preserve the lower parcel of what Fayhee calls "pure riparian splendor" with public access trails to the Roaring Fork River. The upper parcel is 30 acres across three sections and could be leased or sold. Read all about it here.

It ran on the cover of the Aspen Sunday News last month. On Booked, he speaks with KDNK station manager Gavin Dahl about the incredible story deep inside the flooded Smuggler Mountain mine.
