Elloit Norquist has been an artist in and around the Roaring Fork Valley since 1970. His upcoming show at the Charlotte Jackson Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico combines simple shape with bold color to turn everyday objects, like mailing envelopes, into abstract statements. Elliot joined Raleigh Burleigh and Chris Hassig on Express Yourself to talk about his work.

Carbondale native and artist Chris Hassig talks about his new show at the Launchpad and about his working process. The piece below, Lost Coast, is one of the pieces that sold. The show will hang until November 8.

All five artists proved themselves articulate about their artistic process. Chris Hassig, Sarah Uhl, Sue and Katelyn Krehbiel, Kip Hubbard and Kaylie Finnis all found the spotlight on Express Yourself after the 37th Valley Visual Arts Show opened at the Launchpad. 

Chris Hassig and Sarah Uhl are local artists showing in the Valley Visual Arts Show which hangs at the Launchpad until February 17. They visited Express Yourself to talk about their pieces in the show, their creative processes, and their artistic futures. And Peter Gilbert of Dance Initiative describes the newest DI residency next week involving  the New York dancer Christiana Axelsen.
