Colorado Parks and Wildlife begins testing deer for Chronic Wasting Disease in portions of the state during rifle season this year. It’s a part of the agency’s Chronic Wasting Disease Response Plan. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh spoke with CPW's Travis Duncan to find out more.

Recent testing from state wildlife officials shows about 15 percent of the bucks in what's known as the White River deer herd are infected with the  neurodegenerative disease.
