Mana Foods has taken over store space from the now-defunct Carbondale Food Co-op but the owners are not taking on the Co-op’s debt. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh has more.

On February 7th, Dandelion Market members, board, and staff decided to give the store until April to reach certain milestones that would determine if the store could stay open. But, last week, the market closed its doors for good. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh got some details from Board chair Erica Sparhawk.

Members of Dandelion Market (aka the Carbondale Community Food Co-op) voted Wednesday night to remain open for at least 2 more months, provided certain milestones can be reached. For this week's Everything Under the Sun, Sopris Sun editor Will Grandbois and KDNK's Amy Hadden Marsh talk to Dandelion Market board member Richard Votero and working members Felicia Trevor and Jason White about those milestones and what it will take to keep the market going and growing.

Dandelion Market

The Dandelion Market, Carbondale's community food co-op, has officially reopened at its new location next to Rhumba Girl Liquors along Highway 133. KDNK’s Raleigh Burleigh spoke with the new store manager Terri Anzini about some of the changes. The new hours are 10 to 6 Monday through Saturday.
