  Garfield County libraries plan to re-open on Monday, May 11. According to a press release, library hours will be limited, staff will check out materials that are in the library, and print items that are sent from your phone, tablet, or home computer. ...more

All Garfield County Libraries are closed through April 8th. All library book drops are also closed, and there will be no overdue fines during this time. Librarians are asking the public to hold on to your library materials.

The Garfield County Library District is asking voters to decide on Proposition 6A next week. The initiative would raise property taxes within the District to provide permanent baseline funding for six libraries from Carbondale to Parachute.
