This month on United Way Cares, hear from members of the Habitat for Humanity Roaring Fork Valley team: President Gail Schwartz and Americorps VISTA member Erin Sibley-Jett. They speak with host Traci Gurley-Tomashosky about adapting the ReStore and home-building sites to COVID-19 protocols and how the organization is multiplying its building sites.
On this month's show, Traci interviews Bo Blodgett, whose work as an AmeriCorps VISTA has evolved into employment as housing development analyst at Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley. Bo also provides an update about the ReStore virtual adaptation.
Assaf Dory was born and raised in Israel. After moving to the United States, Assaf began a career in law enforcement and lost his leg while serving in Florida. He now lives in the Roaring Fork Valley and is a strategic advisor with Challenge America.
Host Traci Gurley-Tomashosky is joined by Amy French, volunteer coordinator and family services director for Habitat for Humanity, to talk about net-zero building, the Basalt Vista Housing Project and more.
