Garco Library District Asks Voters for Secure Funding

The Garfield County Library District is asking voters to decide on Proposition 6A in November. The initiative would raise property taxes within the District to provide permanent baseline funding for six libraries from Carbondale to Parachute. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh has more about the needs of the Carbondale and Glenwood Springs branches.

The Garfield County Library District created a list of the top 10 most-borrowed books of 2018. KDNK’S Amy Hadden Marsh went to the Carbondale Library to find out more.

Carbondale library branch manager Lacy Dunlavy stopped by the station to talk about Local Lit Fest, Thursday night November 29th at 5:30pm. The event features nine local authors including historian Larry Rynearson, poet DJ Hill, novelists Clark Heckert and David Wall, childrens authors Duane Ziegler and Corrie Karnan and many more.
