Mind Springs Health Launches New Hotline and Care Kit

The combination of wildfires, evacuations, and COVID-19 issues can be overwhelming. Mind Springs Health has launched a new, bilingual, support hotline and mental health care kit. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh spoke with Mind Springs Health Clinical Operations Manager Jackie Skramstad for the details. The bilingual hotline number is 877.519.7505.

Overdose Awareness Virtual Event Tonight at 6

The Centers for Disease Control reports that more than 750,000 people have died in the US due to drug overdoses in the past decade. Opioid overdoses killed close to 47,000 people in the nation in 2018. In honor of Overdose Awareness Month, culminating in Overdose Awareness Day on the 31st, the Garfield County Library District hosts a virtual program tonight at 6 with Maggie Seldeen, Peer Recovery Coach for Mind Springs Health. She spoke with KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh about Overdose Awareness Day and more.
