Fifty years ago this month, the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act was signed into law, giving federal protection to animals that were once hunted and sold for pet food. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh spoke with Suzanne Roy, director of American Wild Horse Campaign, about the state of wild horses 50 years on. In this clip, they talk about new research findings.
