Carbondale leadership open to easing housing crisis through short-term rentals regs

Community activists seeking to regulate short-term rentals, or STRs, in Carbondale made their case to the town’s Board of Trustees during a public work session in late December. KDNK’s Morgan Neely spoke to Shirley Powers, one of the organizers with Community First Carbondale. They’re the group advocating for a permitting system and higher taxes on STRs.
