On Friday morning, Garfield County Sheriff's Office announced that thanks to the combined efforts of local first responders and the Type 2 Incident Command Team called in by Eagle County, the immediate danger to the residents of Missouri Heights, living in Garfield County, has lessened significantly. The voluntary evacuation of the Missouri Heights area in Garfield County has been lifted. The mandatory evacuation for Missouri Heights in Eagle County, however, is still in full effect.
Eagle County wrote at 9:30 that residents who have been evacuated need to register for a re-entry tag starting at 10:30am, July 6, at the Basalt High School shelter. Red Cross called KDNK to inform that the Rapid Pass for the Rapid Check in System will only be available at the Basalt High School Evacuation Center and not at Roaring Fork High School. The Rapid Pass will be utilized by evacuees when roads are opened to them.
