Town of Carbondale

Carbondale's single-use plastic bag ban previously included only groceres. Carbondale's Board of Trustees voted on July 23, 2019 to expand that policy to also include retailers with over 9,000 square feet of commercial space. This is estimated to impact only five businesses, making plastic bags unavailable and requiring retailers to charge 20 cents per paper bag. Trustee Ben Bohmfalk shares this and other news, including that a contract was approved for six pickeball courts in North Face Park.
