Health Advisory in Effect for Garfield County

An air quality health advisory is in effect for Garfield and neighboring counties. The Bureau of Land Management reported spot fires in Garfield County Saturday – north of Debeque, west of Rifle, and along the Hogback north of Silt. Highway 139 is closed due to a wildfire on Douglas Pass. This fire is putting off a lot of smoke. A 90-acre fire is burning just west of Sylvan Lake Park in Eagle County. Campers nearby have been evacuated.
