In the 1970s and 80s, Brad Hendricks was the epitome of that hallowed and valued ethic, "Messy Vitality." Fondly remembered as a town trustee with the campaign slogan “Good Enough for Government Work,” Brad appeared on This I Remember in July of 1989. He recounted with Mary his involvement with the early years of the Carbondale Mountain Fair in the early and mid 70s.

Between 1984 and 1999 the late Mary Ferguson had a Public Affairs program here on KDNK, This I Remember. Mary recorded all of her shows on cassette tapes, and these tapes were lost for years. Mary’s family discovered them and donated them to the Carbondale Historical Society, and KDNK was able to digitize all of the tapes! In collaboration with the Carbondale Historical Society, KDNK is proud to present these conversations. Click herefor the complete audio archive. Enjoy!
