Red Cross Ready for Evacuees at GWS Community Center

The Grizzly Creek Fire has scorched over 4,600 acres. The fire jumped I70 and the Colorado River Tuesday afternoon and is burning north and south of the Colorado River. Multiple evacuations are in place, including No Name, Lookout Mountain, Homestead Estates, Bair Ranch, High Aspen Ranch, Coulter Creek, and Cottonwood Pass. The Red Cross has a presence at the Glenwood Springs Community Center.  KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh spoke with volunteer point person Rheta Fulton to find out what’s available for evacuees. Camping is available outside the Glenwood Springs Community Center but sleeping or just hanging out inside the building is not allowed.
