KDNK's News Director Morgan Neely has updates on New Castle firing its (now former) top cop, Tony Pagni, after he allegedly threatened a longtime neighbor with an assault rifle Friday night while intoxicated. Also, the Forest Service closes a portion of the Lead King Loop after monsoon rains bury the road to the Crystal Mill up to 15' deep in debris. Capitol Reporter Scott Franz says the secretary of state is poised to wrap up recounts requested by right-wing election conspiracy theorists like the recently arrested Tina Peters. Eric Galatas has a story on why dental care is so necessary, yet so hard to receive in Colorado.
