Hundreds of pro-abortion rights advocates rallied in front of the Idaho Capitol Saturday May 14, 2022 in this file photo. They were protesting a leaked opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court that's poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, which guaranteed a constitutional right to the procedure.

KDNK News Director Morgan Neely has Tuesday's news, including outrageous growth in Carbondale home prices. Also, bears on the Western Slope keep dying because of humans failing to lock doors and windows — this time Colorado Parks and Wildlife killed a sow and her four cubs after they entered a home up Maroon Creek. And, first responders in Telluride train for the unthinkable.

UPDATE: Shortly after tonight's newscast, U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill temporarily blocked parts of Idaho's near-total abortion ban from becoming law. The state's "trigger law" would have taken effect on Thursday. Winmill's ruling means abortions to protect the health of the mother, or prevent disability, can still be conducted, and no officers of the state can arrest or prosecute doctors for performing abortions intended for emergency health care. The ruling is a victory for the Biden Administration, who lost a similar case in Texas Wednesday.
