New Glenwood Springs City Manager, Dr. Beverli Marshall. After a lengthy search and hiring process, Glenwood got their candidate. She'll start at $225,000 annually, with a $2000 monthly housing stipend.

KDNK's Morgan Neely has Friday's news, including Glenwood Springs finally hiring a new city manager — more than six months after former manager Deb Figueroa departed for the private sector. And, reporter Hattison Rensberry finds something spooky afoot at the Carbondale Library. Also, we take a hard look at gun violence in Colorado after a record year for mass shootings. Meanwhile, the Natural History Museum of Utah is bringing in tribal leaders, elders and Indigenous artists as consultants, and the UDSA is spending nearly half a billion dollars to reduce wildfire risk in the West.

Morgan is KDNK's News Director. He comes to KDNK with public radio passion and experience. He was a news host, reporter, and operations/programming director at KAJX-Aspen, and has extensive experience working in municipal government.
