Funds from opiate crisis settlements with pharmaceutical companies are starting to roll into rural America. The five-county region that includes Pitkin, Eagle, Garfield, Summit, and Lake counties is set to receive $5 million dollars—or about $280,000 per year for the next 17+ years.

Also, we hear from a group of Future Farmers of America who made the trip from Olathe to Glenwood Springs for Tuesday's wolf reintroduction meeting. And, state lawmakers say there’s work to be done on student mental health in rural Colorado. Meanwhile, Colorado lawmakers and anti-gun violence campaigners gather in Denver for a town hall meeting calling for stricter gun control laws—including a repeal of a state statute that gives immunity to the gun industry.
