March's episode of VOICES Radio Hour is titled The Things We Left Behind Along The Way, dedicated to the voices of the sages in our community between the ages 76 and 97. Along the way of the Great Depression, immigration, commune-building, choosing between love and career, as well as life’s full spectrum of challenges and opportunities; what have we picked up, and what have we left behind? Storytellers include Art Ackerman, Sue Lavin, Joan Lamont, Bill Jochems—and the storyteller-in-Spanish, Maria Alicia Pastrana. Music selections are performed by Clay Boland Jr. on piano, from his album of piano interpretations of songs by Ira & George Gershwin, Love Walked In.
