Navajo Webcasts

NPR's Margot Adler visits the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University where three young women from the Navajo reservation are completing their senior year in college, after being recruited four years ago to play on the volleyball team. The experience has transformed their lives, and, in an effort to encourage others to attend college, they broadcast in Navajo on the Internet through Sports Radio Network (WSRN).

Margot Adler died on July 28, 2014 at her home in New York City. She was 68 and had been battling cancer. Listen to NPR Correspondent David Folkenflik's retrospective on her life and career
