Here's your community calendar for Saturday, May 10th, underwritten by Basalt Regional Library, presenting "Groove and Move: An Intergenerational Dance Party" on Friday, May 16 at 4PM. Kids, parents, grandparents, and friends of all ages can hit the dance floor together to a mix of upbeat tunes from different decades. More info at basalt library dot org.

It's Dandelion Day y'all!

  • KDNK staff and volunteers will be at Sopris Park all day for Dandelion Day, along with local vendors and speakers, plus live music from the Jazzmonauts at Noon & Downvalley Sound at 3:30
  • Lake County Library in Leadville puts on an Author Talk with Pam Houston at 5:30
  • Symphony In The Valley conducts music from classic Western films at Carbondale Middle School at 7pm
  • Also at 7, Seun Kuti performs at TACAW, with KDNK staff on hand slingin' fresh merch and membership signups
  • Then at 9, River Spell rolls into the Black Nugget in Carbondale
  • Ol' Scratch plays at 9 at Pastime Saloon in Leadville
  • And 8th Street Bus Stop jams out at Belly Up Aspen, that's also tonight at 9

And for Mother's Day on Sunday…

  • At The Third Street Center in Carbondale tomorrow, Aaron Brown leads a talk titled "Mothers, Messes and Grace" at 10am, and the Carbondale Plateau Chamber Music Society performs at 4pm
  • And Steel Pulse brings the vibes to the Belly Up tomorrow night at 8
