Local pianist Amanda Gessler will present a recital of works by Beethoven and Debussy, exploring the piano’s ability to tell stories without words. More info at basalt library dot org
We've reached the midway point of the month already, how did that happen? Here's some things to check out later this afternoon and evening
- Lift Up returns to the Rifle Library today from 11 to 2, the Parachute Resource Center from 11:30 to 2:30, and Glenwood Catholic Charities from 1 to 3:30
- The Pitkin County Library's Book Thieves Club for teens starts the school year off at 4pm
- Aspen City Council holds their meeting today at 5pm at City Hall
- Back at the Pitkin County Library, the Literature Out Loud series features two stories about local fires and firefighters, that's at 5:30 today
- The Roaring Fork and CRMS soccer teams face off on the pitch at 6pm at RFHS
- Leadville City Council meets at 6 at their City Hall
- Roaring Fork Drawing Club heads to The Grove in Aspen at 6:30
- Also at 6:30, Townline Trucks in Carbondale puts on their weekly Open Mic night
- New Castle's Town Council also meets tonight, that's at 7pm at Town Hall

- Lift Up provides food & pantry items tomorrow from 9 to 1 at the New Castle River Center, at the Silt Baseball Fields from 10 to Noon, and the Third Street Center in Carbondale from 2:30 to 4:30
- TACAW's 5th Birthday Auction event runs from 8am to 8pm tomorrow
- The Basalt Library offers a Teen Lounge and STEM Lab, both of those events are at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon for Early Release
- And Bee Friendly Carbondale welcomes volunteers to help maintain the Pollinator Garden at the Thompson House, that's tomorrow at 3pm
