Mountain Fair officially begins today! But if for some reason you're not in Carbondale for the festivities, here's some other way to stay entertained…
- Ben Overbeek heads to Rock Island in Snowmass at 4 this afternoon.
- Then at 5 in Leadville, the Lake County Library offers a Mono/Gel Printing session for their Craft Anarchy series
- David Walker Good performs at Triangle Park in Willits at 5:30
- Back to Leadville, Tejon [Tay-Hon] Street Corner Thieves get folky at 6pm at Freight, and Into The Down hits up Pastime Saloon later at 9pm
- Stepping back to 8pm, Zolopht plays with Ruby Dice at the Ute Theater in Rifle
- And for those who are planning on heading to Mountain Fair, the Drum Circle kicks the festivities off at 4pm, with local group CARP taking the stage at 5:15, and The Nude Party on later, at 8. KDNK will be broadcasting all the music this weekend if you're driving or would just prefer to listen in the comfort of your own home!
And for Saturday…
- Lift Up distributes food & pantry items at Garfield Human Services in Rifle tomorrow from 10 to 11, and at Glenwood Middle School from 1:30 to 2:30.
- Mountain Tide Provision in Carbondale presents new local band Full Moon Rising at 4pm tomorrow
- And Mountain Fair continues tomorrow, with Birds Of Play, Par Avion, Thee Heart Tones and La Luz all gracing Sopris Park - and the KDNK airwaves - with their presence.
Keep your community in the loop about events and programming ideas by emailing calendar@kdnk.org. Come say hi to us at the blue KDNK tent in Sopris Park all weekend, there will not be a community calendar tomorrow. We appreciate all our listeners and supporters who have kept KDNK on the air since 1983, we couldn't be happier that it's Mountain Fair Friday!
