Here's your community calendar for Wednesday, December 17th, underwritten by Basalt Regional Library, presenting the Winter Solstice Celebration, this Friday, December 19th at 5:30PM. A festive gathering around the fire, featuring a variety of activities designed to warm the heart with hot beverages, food, crafts, storytelling and more. More info at basalt library dot org.

  • Lift Up distributes food & pantry items from 2:30 to 4:30 today at the Third Street Center in Carbondale
  • The Basalt Library holds a Book Talk featuring Tommy Orange's novel "There There," that's at 5:30
  • Also at 5:30, Indivisible Leadville 25 meets at the Lake County Library
  • The Glenwood High School Choir puts on their Winter Concert starting at 6 this evening
  • Music group Oran Mor continues their library tour this evening at 6:30 at the Carbondale Branch
  • Rifle City Council meets at City Hall at 7pm
  • The Crystal Theatre shows Christmas Classic It's A Wonderful Life, that's also at 7 this evening
  • Also at 7, Pastime Saloon in Leadville cues up a Pool Tournament
  • And Craft Wellness in Basalt welcomes David Brown from Rising Appalachia, that's at 7:30, followed by an open mic night

  • Lift Up will be at Glenwood Catholic Charities from 10:30-1:30 tomorrow, and at the Parachute Pantry from 12:30 to 3:30
  • Lake County Library puts on Storytime with Santa tomorrow morning at 10:30 
  • The Silt Library offers pet photos with Santa at 1 tomorrow afternoon
  • The Carbondale Library's Third Thursday Book Club meets tomorrow at 2pm, with the New Castle Branch's Back to Reality Book Club also getting together at 3.
  • And Max Gomez plays at Steve's Guitars tomorrow night at 8
