At 5:30 pro athlete David Clark gives a lecture at Grand River Health Conference Center in Rifle about his own transformation from 320-pound obese addict to 160-pound marathon runner.
Also at 5:30, The Aspen Entrepreneurs Showcase features Michele Kiley, owner of Justice Snow's and Rob Ittner, owner of Rustique Bistro and Aspen Cooking School. The event takes place at Justice Snow’s and is sponsored by Aspen Brewing Company.
At 6:30 L’hosteria in Aspen features live music from Dana, Haden & Hap and Italian food outdoors on the deck.
Aspen Weekly Writers Group meets at The Red Brick from 7 to 9 to share original work.
Heather’s in Basalt has live music at 7 with Damian Smith and Terry Bannon.
And Belly Up Aspen features jamtronica act Greener Grounds at 10 PM.
Looking ahead, KDNK has exciting events coming up during our membership drive.
Thursday September 8th, bring a new member to the KDNK Open House from 4 to 7pm with food, drinks and games.
On Sunday September 11th, the news department will host a Journalist Roundtable live broadcast from 5 to 6pm.
Next Wednesday September 14th, KDNK hosts a fundraising dinner at Town Restaurant featuring local food and drink pairings designed by Mark Fischer, Peak Spirits and Marble Distillery. Reserve your spot by calling Town at 963-6328.
And on Friday September 16th, we’ll be throwing a Victory Party at Roaring Fork Beer Company from 4 to 7pm.
