Chuck Anderson, Mammals Research Section Leader for Colorado Parks and Wildlife will address the preliminary results from an ongoing Colorado Parks and Wildlife research study into the impacts of natural gas development on mule deer population dynamics. The Piceance Basin supports one of the largest migratory mule deer populations in North America. Over the past 15 years, natural gas development has increased rapidly in this formerly undisturbed area.

  • And Belly Up Aspen has an interesting evening tonight. Starting at 9:30, the ski film “Pleasure” will be screened. Then Berkel Beats will be up next with DJ Lo G spinning at 10:30.

Looking ahead…

  • Join the Andy Zanca Youth Empowerment Program on First Friday, October 7th from 6-8 pm for a potluck and picnic table dedication right here in KDNK’s backyard (on the east side of the building). Everyone is welcome. The dedication is at 6:30 p.m. Bring a potluck dish to share if you like. Students in the Andy Zanca Youth Empowerment Program raised money to purchase a picnic table and donate it to KDNK in memory of Andy Zanca.
