The 2016 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree passes through Glenwood Springs today on its way from Idaho to the White House. The City of Glenwood Springs and the White River National Forest host a free, public event, beginning at 4 PM at Centennial Park to view the tree and usher in the holiday season with music from Symphony in the Valley.
Roaring Fork Schools and the Manaus Fund host Mark Warren for a free talk about community organizing at 5:30 tonight at Roaring Fork High School. Warren will talk about how community organizing can be a catalyst for school reform and is part of a broader agenda to address socio-economic and racial inequalities that affect children’s education.
