  • Summit Canyon Mountaineering, under the clock tower in Glenwood Springs, wants your clean, reusable coats or jackets to donate to the Salvation Army.

  • Collection for Lift-Up food pantries continues at Basalt Realty, next to the RFTA park and ride. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off from 9AM and 5PM through Thursday.

  • For the Deck The Walls Holiday show continuing at the Launchpad, Carbondale Arts transforms the R2 Gallery into a shop filled with artisanal goods from local and regional artists from 9 to 6.

  • Basalt Library hosts Foreign Film Night at 5:15. The film As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me is about a prisoner of war who escapes in Siberia and is helped by a band of arctic natives.

  • Wine Wednesday returns to the St. Regis Aspen Resort at 5:30 with sommelier Ericka Briscoe.

  • The Way of Compassion Dharma Center leads weekly dharma talks at Carbondale’s Third Street Center at 5:30.

  • At 6, Glenwood Springs Library hosts free community yoga.

  • At 6:30 Jonathan Gorst plays live piano at the Riviera Supper Club in Glenwood.

  • Crystal Theatre in Carbondale screens the Disney film Queen of Katwe at 7:30.

  • And at Belly Up Aspen, the bands Na’an Stop and Tenth Mountain Division play at 9:30.

Looking ahead…

  • Tomorrow morning, Valley Life for All offers another Empowered to be Independent workshop at the Rifle Senior Center from 9:30 to 11:30. Presenters will explain helpful technology and resources for seniors with hearing, vision or memory challenges.

  • Join us this Friday December 2nd for KDNK’s annual Labor of Love auction and Holiday Bazaar at the Village Smithy on Main Street in downtown Carbondale. The auction includes passes from Aspen Ski Co, tickets for Avalanche hockey, a Les Paul guitar, Hunter S Thompson collectibles, plus massages, salon treatments, artwork and more.
