Ghanian-American novelist Yaa Gyasi speaks at Winter Words Tuesday. The 26-year-old will be interviewed about her breakout novel Homegoing at Paepcke Auditorium on the Aspen Institute campus. Doors open at 5:30, with the event at 6 and a book signing to follow.
Revelers of all ages are invited to the 35th consecutive year of Mardi Gras celebrations in Snowmass Tuesday, themed Creole for the Soul. Snowmass Village will feature a Mardi Gras bead toss, parade and fireworks plus this year there is a new on-mountain party at Elk Camp Restaurant with a Mardi Gras menu, live music, and ski parade.
