Here's your community calendar for Saturday, September 2, underwritten by the Mount Sopris Rotary Club, meeting every Thursday at noon at Mi Casita in Carbondale. Rotary: Service above self. I’m Raleigh Burleigh. For today's events, like Nanama in Redstone Park, follow the headline!

  • The Visionary Summit returns to Paonia this weekend with workshops, lectures, and music. Tonight’s bands include Zephyr, Tokem, and Plantrae. Details are available here.

  • The Leadville Community Market runs from 9 to 2.

  • Keith Urban, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, St. Paul & The Broken Bones perform for the JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience beginning at 3. Tickets are sold out, but there’s surely a way!

  • Damian Smith and Dennis Jung play at Aspen’s Red Onion at 4.

  • Nanama, the music behind my voice, closes out the Redstone Magical Moments Summer Concert Series tonight beginning at 6.

  • Robin Lore performs at Grove’s Black Dog Saloon in New Castle at 7.

  • And Bob Moses takes the stage at Belly Up Aspen at 10.

Looking ahead…

  • On Sunday, Ray of Light teaches yoga at High Mountain Pies in Leadville at 9:30.

  • Maroon 5, The Roots, and The Revivalists perform for JAS Aspen Snowmass. Again, tickets are sold out but there must be a way!

  • And The Motet plays funk at Belly Up Aspen at 10.

And on Wednesday…

  • Batch hosts a Final Hours Kickstarter Fundraiser Party for the local film How We Grow! Tickets are only available here.

You can submit your calendar items on our website or by emailing calendar@kdnk.org. Get out there and have some fun!

Raleigh Burleigh was raised in the historic floodplanes of Satank. The Carbondale Rotary Club sponsored him as a youth ambassador to Chile the year before his graduation from Roaring Fork High School. He studied International Affairs and Journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder then applied those studies traveling throughout South America the following year. Returning to Carbondale thereafter, Raleigh acquired an internship with KDNK News which led to the opportunity to serve as News Director from 2017 to 2019. After another trip to South America in early 2019, Raleigh Burleigh drew deeper into the confluence as Program Director at KDNK. Raleigh now serves on KDNK's board of directors and as editor of Carbondale's weekly newspaper, The Sopris Sun.
