  • Mindful Life Program offers a half day retreat to establish a  mindfulness practice at 1 at the Third Street Center.

  • Studio for Arts and Works at 525 Buggy Circle in Carbondale hosts the annual SAWliday Open House at 2.

  • The Snowmass Base Village Grand Opening is from 2:30 to 9 featuring Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Concert and fireworks.

  • The Crystal Theater shows Beautiful Boy at 5 and Roma at 7:30.

  • Sunlight Ski Patrol hosts a beer tasting benefit with live music from The Low End at the Sunlight Inn Bed and Breakfast at 5.

  • The Wheeler Opera House hosts the Aspen Choral Society performing Handel’s Messiah at 7.

  • Valley Bluegrass Jam perform in celebration of the life of Russell Hedman at Steve’s Guitars at 7.

  • Glenwood Vaudeville Revue presents their Holiday Show at 6.

  • Thunder River Theater presents Kimberly Akimbo at 7:30.

  • Pitkin Library presents Cinema at the Library showing Hal at 7:30.

  • Glenwood Brew Garden presents The Steampunk Costume Contest with music from Painters Stage at 7:30.

  • The Mountain Madrigal Singers perform their Annual Christmas Concert at Glenwood Church of Christ at 7:30.

  • Marble Distilling Company presents comedy night with Ben Kronberg, Zeke Herrera and Nalowi Mengist at 7:30.

  • Tim Montana plays at The Temporary at 8.

  • The Belly Up presents Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats at 8:00.

  • And Ben Kronberg and Friends perform a second set of comedy at Silver City Aspen at 9:30.

Looking ahead to Sunday, December 16th:

  • Independence Run and Hike presents the 10th Annual 5k Jingle Bell Run and Ugly Sweater Contest at 11 tomorrow morning.

  • Aspen Art Museum presents Arte en Espanol Las Posadas at 3.
