The KDNK Community Calendar for Friday, October 22nd is underwritten by Basalt Regional Library, where your library card opens more than just books.   • R2 Gallery hosts the exhibit The Poetics of Sculpture, available from 10 am to 5 pm.

  • Basalt Regional Library hosts a Day of the Dead Celebration with live music and storytelling at 5:30 pm.

  • The Western Garfield County Chamber presents the 42nd Annual Chili Cook-off at the Garfield County Fairgrounds and Events Center at 5:30 pm.

  • Glenwood Springs Historical Society puts a ghost walk through Linwood Cemetery tonight and tomorrow night at 6:30 pm.

  • The Carbondale Clay Center presents a Resident Artist Slide Talk at The Launchpad at 6:30 pm.

  • Third Street Center presents a Vibrational Sound Journey at 7 pm.

  • The Movie Dune plays at Crystal Theatre at 7:30 pm.

  • The Wheeler Opera House hosts a concert from Birdtalker at 7:30 pm.

  • Feeding Giants plays at Steve’s Guitars at 8 pm.

  • Whitney and Renee Reed play at Belly Up Aspen at 8:30 pm.

  • Aspen Walking Tours presents the Past to Present History Tour at 10 am.
