Learn the art, craft, and creativity of fly tying in this hands-on club designed just for teens! Whether you’re a seasoned tyer or brand-new to the world of fly tying, this program offers a welcoming space to explore the techniques behind building your own flies—from classic patterns to wild, one-of-a-kind creations.

Advanced tyers, don't despair, we won't be starting with the San Juan worm this year! Come see what we've got in store for you

Each session includes:

Step-by-step instruction from local fly-tying enthusiasts

All materials provided, including vises, tools, and supplies

Skill-building activities, from basic knots to advanced patterns

Time to create, experiment, and take home your own flies

Community and conversation with other teens who love the outdoors

No experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to try something new. Join us each month to build your skills, express your creativity, and connect with the fly fishing tradition that’s central to Colorado’s rivers and mountain culture.

Ya sea que tengas experiencia realizando fly-tying o que apenas estés descubriendo este mundo, este programa ofrece un espacio de bienvenida para explorar las diversas técnicas y crear tus propios anzuelos—desde patrones clásicos hasta creaciones disparatadas únicas en su estilo.
Participantes con experiencia: no se desanimen. ¡No comenzaremos con el gusano de San Juan este año! Vengan a ver lo que tenemos preparado para ustedes.

Cada sesión incluye:

Instrucciones paso a paso por parte de entusiastas locales de fly-tying.
Todos los materiales provistos, incluyendo tornillos, herramientas y provisiones.
Actividades para fortalecer tu destreza: desde nudos básicos hasta patrones avanzados.
Tiempo para crear, experimentar y llevarte a casa tus propios anzuelos.
Comunidad y conversación con otros adolescentes amantes de la naturaleza.
