Join us for Walking Club hosted by Cook Inclusive!
Every other week we host a walking club, on Mondays at 5PM, that are aimed to be inclusive of every age and ability, while we explore different paved paths throughout Carbondale. We walk about 2 miles every meeting. We will meet outside of the Cook Inclusive office (50 Weant Blvd, Carbondale, CO 81623). We will also end our walk at the same location.
This is a FREE event that is led by individuals that have education and training focused on inclusive navigation. That means whether you join us with children in strollers, are wheelchair bound, or use a mobility aid, we are able to help provide a positive experience.
Again, this is an inclusive club, so even if you do not have mobility concerns, we invite you to still join us for an easy paced walk!

Raising a Reader- Aspen to Parachute invites you to our "Little Red Bag Club" for parents and their 0-5 year old children who are not enrolled in school. Join us for a weekly hour of story time, activities and snacks. These classes support brain development and social skills, and are led in Spanish.

Acompáñanos durante una hora semanal con cuentos, actividades y refrigerios. ¡Estas clases respaldan el desarrollo cerebral y las aptitudes sociales de los peques y se dirigen en español!

This program is for children in grades 1st - 4th who want to practice their reading skills by reading one of their favorite books to a dog! Each child will have 15 minutes of time to read with their canine friend. Registration is required and each child will have an email reminder the day before. Calling all anime enthusiasts who are looking to find their fellow anime community members! Join us as we start an anime club at the library! Whether you've seen every episode of One Piece or are just starting your anime journey, this club is perfect for you. We will screen some favorite anime movies/series as voted on by participants who attend. We'll have a manga reading nook where you can dive into the latest volumes of your favorite series, and snacks and beverages. This program is designed for middle and high schoolers. Registration required.

¡Llamando a todas las personas amantes del anime que deseen encontrar a otros miembros de la comunidad con el mismo interés! ¡Acompáñanos para iniciar un club de anime en la biblioteca! Ya sea que no te hayas perdido un solo episodio de “One Piece” o que apenas estés comenzando tu travesía por el mundo del anime, este club es perfecto para ti. Veremos algunas películas y series populares de anime, elegidas a través del voto por las personas que participen en el club. También contaremos con un espacio cómodo de lectura para disfrutar de manga, de manera que puedas sumergirte en los últimos volúmenes de tu serie favorita, y ofreceremos refrigerios y bebidas. Este programa está diseñado para estudiantes de las escuelas media (middle school) y media superior (high school). Se requiere una inscripción para participar.

Knitters and crocheters (and any other yarn workers) come together to work on and discuss projects, yarn, and techniques. Open to all; bring your own supplies and works-in-progress.

Las personas que disfrutan del tejido, ya sea con ganchos o agujas (y cualquier tipo de trabajo con estambre), se reúnen para trabajar en diversos proyectos y dialogar al respecto, además de conversar sobre las técnicas empleadas y los tipos de estambre utilizados. Es una actividad abierta para todas las personas. Trae tus propios materiales y los proyectos en los que estés trabajando.
