CDOT wants to improve Cottonwood Pass. Nearby residents are concerned.

Garfield County residents, many from the Missouri Heights and Cattle Creek areas, packed a Colorado Department of Transportation open house Tuesday night to learn about possible improvements to Cottonwood Pass. KDNK’s Hattison Rensberry dropped by a bustling Glenwood Community Center to talk to officials and attendees alike. Gina Shaw is one of those concerned about the impacts detoured interstate traffic has on rural roads and neighborhoods.

Hattison Rensberry has a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Drawing, but has worked for newsrooms in various capacities since 2019.
She also provides Editorial Design for the Sopris Sun.
